  • The happiest of birthdays to my beautiful bride! You’re an amazing wife and mother and we’d be lost without you. We all love you to the moon and back!!
  • Happy Mothers Day to my amazing bride! She asks me not to do these posts but I’m doing it anyway….even if it’s a day late. Mother’s Day started at midnight with my son catching the stomach bug and it was a grind the rest of the day. What did this momma do?…she proved why she’s an amazing mom by taking care of our sick boy all day. It wasn’t what we had planned but she stepped up and did a great job. We’ll have to celebrate another night. Our family loves you to the end of the universe and back!
  • On this day every year at about 2:30p, the time you could see Addi Jo leave us, I go outside for awhile and look for some kind of sign that she’s ok. Today I sat outside at work for about 20 minutes asking for a sign, and asking Kelly’s dad Cop Cop to make her give me a sign (because I know they are together). After waiting and seeing nothing I walked back toward my office disappointed. Right before I reached the door a female cardinal flew across my path. Shortly after, I saw a male cardinal land on the other branch next to her. Most people will think this is just nature, and it may have been, but when you lose a child you search for ANYTHING. I think it was them letting me know they are ok. Happy heavenly angel to my baby

  • Proud father moment…yesterday we took our kids to a UL Football game and Connor wanted cotton candy. While waiting in line Connor spotted a bunch of garbage on the ground next to the trash can. Connor started picking up the garbage and putting it in the trash can. A young guy, probably in his early 20’s, saw what Connor was doing and turned to me and said “You’ve done a good job raising your son. He’s quite a boy. I never would have even thought to do that.” Other people around saw what my son was doing and told him “good job bud!” Sometimes Kelly and I wonder if we’re doing enough and if we’re failing as parents but we must be doing something right. #prouddad
